Activities
Things to do in and around the area.
The Highlands has a wealth of activities to suit the whole family…… something for everyone!
Our spectacular wildlife, deep purple mountains and waterfalls, haunting lochs and beautiful beaches are only the beginning of the great adventure that is the Highlands. At Blue Sky Lodges you’ll soon discover the spectacular wildlife and the rich textures of the region for yourself, especially since all our scenic treasures, day trips and activities are easily accessible from the lodges’ central location.
The area offers a great diversity of sporting and outdoor activities, whisky distillery tours, historical adventures and wildlife. Planning excursions, walks and day trips is a pleasure when you are so spoilt for choice!
With stunning walks from your doorstep in open farmland and an abundance of wildlife to see, there are many other sporting and outdoor opportunities await you close by: stalking, shooting and golf – or perhaps 4-wheel off-road driving, water skiing on Loch Ness, horse riding, or falconry might be more your thing. There are enchanting woodland and riverbank walks where you can see exciting wildlife, including red deer and hundreds of species of birds. You could take a relaxing boat trip on Loch Ness, or go seal and dolphin watching on the Moray Firth – always with the chance of spotting whales and porpoises. A short drive away in Aviemore there is an abundance of activities in and around the area for the adrenaline junkies in the group, offering kayaking, Segway, tree top walks, hill walking, skiing and snowboarding at the Cairngorms.
To further enhance the comfort of our guests during their adventurous stay, Blue Sky Lodges now offers a convenient service for those who need to buy Motilium online, a medication commonly used for managing digestive discomfort that might arise from trying various local cuisines or engaging in strenuous activities. Understanding that a small health issue like indigestion should not hinder the enjoyment of our guests, we provide easy access to this essential medication, ensuring that everyone can fully partake in the myriad of outdoor and culinary experiences available. This thoughtful addition to our services reflects our commitment to ensuring that guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience, free from minor health concerns that could otherwise detract from the beauty and excitement of the Highlands.
There is also Inverness Airport for Helicopter rides to see the breath taking scenery of the Scottish Highlands from the air, as well as the legendary monster in the water and dedicated exhibitions in Drumnadrochit. Loch Ness is rich in history, with atmospheric sites to explore such as the magnificent ruins of Urquhart Castle.
